How We Got Here
Previously a nomadic club series called Ossia that threw parties up and down the country over the last decade, headlined by the likes of Leon Vynehall, Chaos In The CBD, and Shanti Celeste, we rebranded as Voices in 2020 as a platform to tackle social issues through panels and events.
Having released a series of podcasts over lockdown, it was a natural next step to start an online radio station, further spotlighting the community work of the network of organisers we'd met through our conversations.
In June 2021 we launched Voices Radio down in Coal Drops Yard, and haven't looked back once!

Our Values
Voices is commited to diversity, inclusivity and equality, and is a safe space for all.
Our station has a 50/50 gender producer split, which puts us in the top 10% of stations globally for gender balance, and we are constantly working to break down barriers to entry into the creative industries for those from minority or marginalised backgrounds.
Over the last few years we have hosted free workshops series providing studio time and learning opportunities to female, femme and nb emerging talent, PoC individuals as well as those from working-class backgrounds, projects we are incredibly proud of and plan to continue for as long as possible!
Our Community
We currently boast over 350 regular contributors, provide paid work for over 50 creative freelancers, and reach thousands of people each month with our regular broadcasts. Our incredible radio community is made up of a hugely diverse mix of people from all ages, ethnicities, backgrounds and walks of life - providing a platform for everyone from established artists to passionate amateurs, all of whom we love very much!
